A fire broke out at an oil depot in Belgorod, but no casualties have been reported. The governor of Belgorod region Vyacheslav Gladkov wrote about this on his Telegram channel on Friday, the national portal Adyrna reports.

"There was a fire at the oil depot in Belgorod. All emergency services went to the scene. Measures are being taken to eliminate it. If there are causes and victims, the details will be announced later," he said.

Belgorod Mayor Anton Ivanov wrote on his Telegram channel that he also visited the scene.

Later, Vyacheslav Gladkov reported on his Telegram channel that two people were injured.

"There are victims. Two people. These are workers of the oil depot. They received first aid, their lives are not in danger. We are starting to evacuate residents of Pochtovaya, Makarenko and Konstantin Zaslonov streets," the governor wrote.

Near the intersection of these streets there are many houses, social facilities, in particular, kindergartens, a number of warehouses.

Earlier, several explosions took place in the village of Zhuravlevka in the Belgorod region. No one was injured. According to the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, this was caused by the explosion of a shell fired from the territory of Ukraine.
