A new constitution may be adopted in Turkey

President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, has proposed the adoption of a new constitution. He made this statement on May 19 during a meeting with young people and young athletes, according to a report by “Adyrna”. In his speech, the president emphasized the need to update the constitution. “The current constitution was adopted before the period of democratic reforms, so it no longer meets the needs of our time. Together with you, the youth, we will create a new constitution that reflects the spirit of the modern era and the needs of future generations,” he stated. Erdoğan also noted that Turkey is steadily progressing and achieving new accomplishments. He expressed confidence that the country will soon be completely free from the threat of terrorism. “We will entrust you with a Turkey liberated from terrorism. After that, the implementation of the Century of Turkey will accelerate even more,” said the head of state.
