Kazakh boxer Aida Abikeyeva triumphed in the final of the World Championships in Liverpool (UK), reports Adyrna.
In the decisive bout of the 65 kg weight category, she defeated Uzbekistan’s Navbahor Khamidova.
The first two rounds went in favor of the Uzbek athlete. However, in the third round, Aida showcased a high level of boxing and snatched the victory, becoming a two-time World Champion.
Thus, Kazakhstan’s national team now holds four gold medals.
