The Head of State, together with China’s Minister of Culture and Tourism Sun Yeli, toured the Cultural Center.
Kasym-Jomart Tokayev was introduced to the library, Kazakh language, music, and creative classrooms. In the exhibition hall, artifacts and exhibits reflecting Kazakhstan’s history from the ancient Saka period to the early 20th century were displayed.
The exposition consists of five sections dedicated to archaeology, jewelry, weapon-making craftsmanship, national instruments, and ethnography. The Center’s library collection includes nearly one thousand books in Kazakh, Chinese, English, and Russian.
The President also listened to Kazakh and Chinese melodies performed on the dombra by Chinese students.
In addition, the distinguished guests observed a felt-making workshop for Beijing children.
