The head coach of Almaty’s Kairat, Rafael Urazbakhtin, received the keys to a brand-new Hyundai Palisade, reports the national portal Adyrna.

Player Temirlan Anarbekov was presented with an Apple MacBook.

The initial price of the car gifted to the coach starts at 33.8 million tenge. It was awarded by Nurlan Smagulov, the founder of Astana Motors, in honor of the Kazakh club’s advancement to the Champions League group stage. Goalkeeper Temirlan Anarbekov, who was named the star of the match against Celtic, also didn’t go unnoticed. Nurlan Smagulov gave him an Apple MacBook and, shaking his hand, said:

“The young footballer’s future lies ahead.”

However, social media users expressed dissatisfaction that the player only received a laptop. Comments included: “Temirlan should have been given a car,” “It feels like they tricked him with candy,” “The goalkeeper was the key player, the car should have gone to Temirlan.”

As a reminder, Kairat will face Madrid’s Real, Belgium’s Club Brugge, Greece’s Olympiacos, and Cyprus’s Pafos in the upcoming group stage.
