The Ministry of Education has finalized the start and end dates of the 2025–2026 academic year, as well as vacation periods for general education institutions, Adyrna reports.
According to the Ministry, the school year will begin on September 2, 2025, and end on May 25, 2026. The date and time of the ceremonial event dedicated to Knowledge Day will be determined by each school’s pedagogical council.
- The first term will last 8 weeks.
Autumn break: October 27 to November 2, 2025 (7 days). - The second term will also consist of 8 weeks.
Winter break: December 29, 2025, to January 7, 2026 (10 days). - First-grade students will have an additional break from February 9 to February 15, 2026 (7 days).
- The third term will last 10 weeks.
Spring break: March 19 to March 29, 2026 (11 days). - The fourth term will be 8 weeks long, with the school year ending on May 25, 2026.
