Famous singer Dimash Kudaibergen criticized oil and energy expert Olzhas Baidildinov, reports Adyrna.

Earlier, the expert stated that the number of people speaking Kazakh in the country was increasing and claimed that “measures should be taken.”

“We, Kazakhs, respect all the languages of the world. But respect begins with oneself. A person who is ashamed of their native language and seeks others’ approval loses not their words, but their roots,” the singer said.

He also called Baidildinov a provocateur:

“Olzhas, I hope a provocateur like you gets fired, because you’re like a scared little boy. I didn’t write in Kazakh because you don’t understand it,” Dimash added.

Dimash’s father, Kanat Aitbayev, also supported his son’s words, writing on social media:
“Not recognizing the state language means not recognizing the state itself.”

Earlier, Olzhas Baidildinov had also sparked public outrage by suggesting that bus fares in Astana and Almaty should cost 500 tenge.
