The President of Uzbekistan had a phone conversation with the President of the United States, reports “Adyrna” national portal citing caliber.az.
According to the press service of the President of Uzbekistan, the two leaders discussed strengthening strategic partnership and expanding cooperation in new areas.
President Donald Trump highly praised the reforms being carried out in Uzbekistan. According to him, the political and economic changes initiated by Mirziyoyev contribute not only to the country’s development but also to stability in Central Asia. He also expressed support for steps aimed at improving the well-being of the population.
In turn, Shavkat Mirziyoyev noted the positive results of the U.S. administration’s domestic and foreign policies. He especially valued Washington’s contribution to the peaceful resolution of international and regional conflicts.
At the end of the conversation, Mirziyoyev invited Donald Trump to pay an official visit to Tashkent. The visit is expected to elevate relations between the two countries to a new level.
