A ceremonial graduation event was held at the National Defense University for master’s students who are considered future commanders and leaders of the military management system. This year, 66 military personnel successfully completed their master’s programs. Among them are officers and generals from the Ministry of Defense, the National Security Committee, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the National Guard, and other security agencies, reports Adyrna.
Deputy Minister of Defense, Lieutenant General Kanysh Abubakirov, congratulated the graduates and wished them success.
“Today, you have completed an important stage in your professional and academic development. The knowledge, skills, and officer qualities you have acquired within these university walls will serve as a solid foundation for your service to the Motherland. On behalf of the leadership, I congratulate all of you on your successful graduation. I am proud of each and every one of you!” he said.
In addition, Abubakirov expressed gratitude to the faculty and researchers for their contributions to the development of the military education system. Among the top graduates were Major General Daulet Ospanov, Justice Lieutenant Colonel Nurzhan Zhaparov, and Major of the Medical Service Talgat Slyambaev. It is noteworthy that, for the first time in the university’s history, officers from the medical service earned master’s degrees.
Outstanding students who demonstrated a high level of preparedness were awarded honorary badges, and their names were added to the university’s Honor Board.
It should be noted that the National Defense University is the only higher education institution in Central Asia that trains officers at the operational-tactical, operational-strategic, and strategic levels. The university not only educates members of the Kazakh Armed Forces, but also representatives from CSTO member states and distant foreign countries, making it an important platform for international military cooperation.
