Apple plans to move iPhone production from China to India. By the end of 2026, most smartphones intended for the American market are expected to be produced at new factories. Reuters reported this on April 25, according to a correspondent from “Adyrna.” The corporation’s decision was prompted by a sharp rise in tariffs in China. According to official data, the company has produced iPhones worth $22 billion in India within a year. Production increased by 60% as of March 2025. Earlier, in response to the 145% tariff introduced by U.S. President Donald Trump, China imposed a 125% tariff. Later, the White House announced an additional 100% tariff on Chinese goods. As a result, the total U.S. tariff on Chinese goods reached 245%.
