The common alphabet of the Turkic world was discussed in Baku

The second meeting of the commission on the common alphabet of the Turkic world was held in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, reports the national portal "Adyrna" with reference to KazInformation.

This meeting was organized by the Turkic Academy with the support of the Nasimi Institute of Linguistics of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, in cooperation with the Turkish Language Society under the Atatürk High Council of Culture, Language and History. There, the representatives of the brotherly states discussed the promotion of the idea of a common alphabet and new steps in this direction. Speaking at the opening ceremony of the commission meeting, Shahin Mustafaev noted that the issue of the common alphabet is an important area of cooperation between the Turkic peoples.
