"Reporters Without Borders" international organization has published the "World Press Freedom Index" on the World Press Freedom Day, which is traditionally celebrated on May 3, reports the correspondent of "Adyrna".

The list shows that the country has dropped 8 places within a year. Last year, Kazakhstan ranked 134th out of 180 countries in the rating, and this year it ranked 142nd.

The authors of the study stated that although censorship is prohibited under the Constitution, it still exists in Kazakhstan. He also noted that the country's government has strengthened control over Internet posts.
